Polaroid MP4 as enlarger anyone?

HI guys,
I'm thinking if it would be possible to use the MP4 camera kit as enlarger to print 4x5 negatives.
Anyone has tryed to modify it for the job?
Any advice welcome.

Don't know. But you can occasionally find a Graflarger on ebay that will allow you to use a speed or crown graphic, or any other camera with an international back, as an enlarger.

The light source could present a problem. Perhaps you could adapt a Chromega head.

With good 4x5 enlargers going for so little money these days one wonders if the effort would be justified. The shipping on a complete enlarger would be similar to that of an MP3 and no adaptations would be needed.

Just found that there was a Kenro MP-812 head for the MP4 camera kit.

Polaroid sold an enlarger accessory for the MP-4. This was not the Kenro. I bought my Polaroid MP-4 copier from a retired professional photographer. When he bought it new he also bought the enlarger accessory kit and never used it.

that's one of the reasons I bought my first mp4

anyways--yes it's possible--you can get a LUCKY enlarger head--same thing--fujimoto/lucky....for sure fujimoto--that's who made these

you can put your own together though quite simply...OR...what I did....the column is excellent for a dejur 4x5 verstativle professional enlarger---with tilting front--BUT..then I totally upgraded to a beseler cb7....I mounted the cb7 on the mp4 column but it's too heavy for the counter springs...but it does work.

the column,the long column particularly is excellent for an enlarger---I'd forget modifying and just make a mount for one of them de-jur's...the are NICE enlargers, particlularly on a NICE column like the mp4's....
