AGFA-GEVAERT 9.5" SQ. PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM PLATES - Closeout!

looks interesting, Have no idea what I would do with it. Odd size too.

Should be useful to somebody.

Aviphot is the trade name used by Agfa for Ariel photography products (Aviation Photography. Some are IR sensitive.
This size is/was made for a particular air force camera.
The dia could be read as a DIApositive film/plates for making slides.

These would be used to make positives by contact-printing aerial negatives. Glass is used instead of film for its dimensional stability and lack of distortion- very important when making maps.

Surplus shed has had those for at least 3 years.
