Ive been out of things for a while, have things changed? Has Inkjet replaced LightJet and other photographic methods for printing?

How does one print large pano's for backlit mounting (like the cibachromo transparencies)?

I print on a backprint film made by Intelicoat Technologies with my inkjet. Works great.

The Ultrachrome inkset is largely pigment-based, though I think there is some dye included for at least some of the colors.

You're probably correct and I thought the same thing but the spec sheet does say "photographic dye".

I was kind of curious if it makes a difference for transmission materials.

In what regard? Longevity or appearance? The ones I have done look terrific and so far are holding up very well for what they were intended to do. The material I use was recommended to me by my supplier (DTGWeb) who knows which inkset I'm using.
