Quick question....

Is using Thiourea toner without Sodium Hydroxide a stable workable toner??

The high pH affects the colour and depth of the oning process, so without the hydroxide you'll get poor tones.

Varying the proportion of Hydroxide to Thiourea is the key to variable toners. You might get away with Carbonate but the tones will be much lighter.
