I'm a LF newbie so please, bear with me. I'm looking for an additional flat #0 lens board because the one that comes with my camera is recessed and attached to a SA 90mm/8 lens.

I'm watching what is on offer at KEH to get an idea of price level etc. but I find description texts baffling. Here's an example:

"CAMBO SC 42 HOLE LENS BOARD" or "CAMBO SC 39 HOLE LENS BOARD".

What are numbers 42 and 39 indicating?

Normally that would be the diameter of the hole, in mm. You might also post in the classifieds here and find some boards.

A 42mm is a Copal 1 size, but you can see the different Copal sizes here:

The numbers indicate the size of the opening in the lens board.

Assuming that you have a Cambo SC camera and need a lens board for a Copal 0 shutter, look for one with a 34-35mm opening. 39 and 42mm are too large.

They indicate the hole diameter in millimetres.
If I'm not mistaken, 39mm is a Seiko 0, and 42mm is a Copal 1.

Edit: just saw the others' responses.
As you were. :)

Thanks! It's all getting much more clear to me now.
