The info says they are real silver halide prints, bound into a book. Has anyone tried this service?

Yes- mixed results, color looks good, B&W not so much. I like the lay flat binding, but there is a limited choice of paper stock and it doesn't serve certain images well. I've seen a couple of really nice results from friends, my results were not worth it.

I started out with the Adorama book because at the time it could do larger pages than most of the others. But I couldn't get past the "how to" video, the audio was messed up in parts so you couldn't understand what the narrator was saying. I abandoned it at that point, figuring if they couldn't get the tutorial right they probably couldn't get the book right either. I sent an email to Adorama about it, maybe it's been fixed by now.

My (11-year old) son just made a book for my f-in-law for his 80th. It was so amazing that I literally had tears in my eyes when I saw it. However, I don't know whether he used the tutorial or just figured it out.
