Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a 3880. I thought the price was a little bit lower than it actually is. There's refurbs on the Epson site for $999, which is still more than I was anticipating spending.

I could wait a couple of months, do you think there is going to be a deal at any point? Are there new models going to roll out?

Thanks
Paul

Who knows? Certainly nobody who participates here.

If price is a major concern why don't you just get a used or refurbed 3800? The differences between it and the 3880 are minor (just an extra shade of two colors IIIRC) and the 3800 is an excellent printer.

When it comes to electronics, there are always going to be new models, eventually. Question is how much money you want to spend and how long you want to wait for the next model. There are two differences between the 3880 and 3800: the 3880 comes with more ink (making the price difference less of a concern) and it prints 17 inches wide instead of 13.

3800 prints 17" wide and has big ink carts. I love mine.

Sorry I was thinking of the 3000. My error.
