shutter and aperture settings

Can someone confirm that on a compur / copal shutter the shutter speeds and apertures are fully adjustable, so I am fine setting the speed a little way past 1/200 towards the 1/400 when the exposure requires 1/250 and likewise with the aperture scale.

At least on a Copal, you can't do that and get reliable shutter speeds. Aperture adjustments are continuous, though.

No, you use the marked speeds. Aperture can be adjusted continuously.
