And it's a massive lens by any name. 105mm filters, 986 grams in Copal 3, at least the APO-Sironar version I had access to once upon a time.

I've always marveled at the difference between this and the original (inside-lettering in Kerry's terms) f/5.6 Fujinon-W, which has the same maximum aperture and the same image circle, takes 58mm filters, is just over half the weight (505 grams), and fits a Copal 1. The Fujinon is no slouch, though only single coated.

I have one in the "Apo-Sironar" model with a Copal 3 shutter. It's a beauty and covers 8x10. Not a lightweight though. I have not had a chance to use it much yet though. The two drawbacks for me are weight and large filter size. Definitely overkill for 4x5.

Hmmm... Must be a very different design than its siblings.

The 210/5.6 Apo-Sironar-S, which I have, is in a Copal 1 shutter, 72mm filters, 490 grams.
The 210/5.6 Apo-Sironar-N, its predecessor, is also in a Copal 1 and slightly smaller: 67mm filters and 440 grams.
Both of these have a 316mm image circle @ f/22.

The f5.6 210 Apo Sironar W throws a 352mm image circle.

The "W" designation stands for "Wide".

Even the APO Sironar N 210mm f/5.6 has a rather massive 301mm image circle at f/22. They're a lot lighter on one's wallet, too, providing you're not shooting 8x10... (commonly selling under $200 in mint or mint- badged as the Caltar IIN).

The Sironar-W is sharp as hell, its got E.D. glass like the Sironar S.
