I do my own 35mm/120 color processing in my CPE-2 and i'm looking to start doing my own 4x5 developing.

Is there a Jobo 4x5 tank that works with the CPE-2 rotary feature or is it by inversion only? I hear that sometimes inversion can cause quality issues with the negatives from time to time.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated:)

I use a CPE2 and 4x5 with their tank - I'll look up the model when I get home - there is some faff in getting the negs onto the carrier that fits in the tank, but easy once you have learnt to do it. I've never had developing issues using this combination.

The 2521/2523 tanks will take one 2509 or 2509n reel, the 2551/2553 tanks take two reels. The 2509n reels are preferred but I use 2509's and have had no problems. Each reel is recommended to hold 4 sheets and can hold 6 although with 6 development may not be as even.

In the Jobo Expert Series is the 3010 Expert Drum which handles up to ten sheets of 4"x5" sheet film. I have had no experiences of uneven development with the tank for black & white and color film.

The 3010 is the bee's knees, but it won't fit on a CPE2, to use a 3010 you'll want a CPA2 or a CPP2.

I was lucky and ended up with a CPA2 and a CPP2. I sold the CPA2. Then I bought the 3010, never knowing about the incompatibility situation.

Some times in life, things actually work out well by themselves.

Jobo CPA2/CPP2 can use a drum up to 20x24. The CPE2 is more compact, takes a smaller diameter drum 11x14 max.

I just got the CPE-2 so i'm not looking at getting rid of it quite yet. The Expert series look interesting but are super expensive and not working with the CPE makes them a no go right now. Thanks for the advice everyone, i'm gonna look at the 2500 series, it's better than nothing! :)

Simply put the Expert drums will NOT work on a CPE of any type, I hope folks realize this.
