Gitzo head with Bogen tripod?

Hiya
Does anyone know if a Gitzo 1570 head fit an older Bogen 3050 tripod? No McGuyverism involved? Does it just screw right on top?

It should mount no problem. Both should be using a 3/8"-16 thread, which is standard for the vast majority of tripods.
