Sorry for all the noob questions below... I was just given my grandfathers Graflex Speed Graphic and after going through everything it is in great shape, has all the accessories, came with the 120 roll backs, but I would like to shoot some Polaroid instant (I guess the Fuji FP-100?) film, and it has no back.

I've been a photographer for almost 20 years but have never shot large/medium format, so I'm totally confused as to what back I need for the Speed Graphic? The Polaroid 545, 545i, or 550 or something else?

I'm also trying to figure out if with those backs I'm shooting 4x5 Polaroid sheet film or is it the cartridges that would also fit in my Polaroid 600 (which I also found recently)?

I usually buy from B&H so once I get a back, what from this list works?

It looks like the only choice in 4x5 is the FP-100c45 or the FP-3000b45 or am I missing something? If I just shoot the 4x5 negative film, which do you guys prefer from this list http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?ci=335&N=4289268818+4294950522

I know having shot 35mm film for a long time that film is personal preference too, just curious what is popular these days. Since I have never developed anything, I'm also wondering if I just take my 4x5 cartridges down to my local lab will they process them?

Thanks for all the stupid questions, looking forward to giving the Graflex a go.

You can get a Polaroid 405 holder and use Fuji FP-100c; it's a bit smaller than 4x5, but much less expensive.
If the Speed Graphic has a Graflok back, you're set.
For 4x5 instant prints, you would need the Fuji PA-45 holder, or, I believe, the Polaroid 550 holder.
The 545 & 545i holders are pretty useless unless you happen upon a cache of old Polaroid 4x5 film.

GREAT! Thanks so much, that was exactly what I was looking for. Price difference between the FP-100c and the 4x5 is amazing.

I have seen a polaroid land camera rear for a graphlex, if thats relevant at all. I think the film for it went out of production in the 90's though. Maybe the impossible project?
