I'm making another camera, and have decided to use a standard lens board- a 9" Century lens board-
unfortunately, I don't have one, or access to one, to take measurements.

Eddie kindly helped me out with some dimensions-
227mm x 227 on the outside and 212mm on the inside rabbet-

However, I'm missing the overall thickness, and the thickness at the rabbet-
I'd be grateful if someone could fill in the blanks- A and B - metric or imperial, whatever is handy...

Thank you-

They can vary a bit from board to board by manufacturer. For the most part your looking at 5/16th both ways. The board I measured is a original Century 3 piece 9x9.

I hope this is what you needed.

A+B = 12mm
A just over 6mm, B just under 6mm.

This is from an original 3 piece board which fits nicely on a Century studio.
Note that 9x9" were used on other camera (Ansco).

The top edge is champhered about 4mm "down" and 3mm "in" to facilitate easy mounting.

That's great information, thank you very much-

By the way, I am doing the same thing, Joseph.
I have so many lenses that are only comfortable on a 9x9 board (Graf variable, Plasticca 60cm) that I am constructing or modifying a 8x10/18x24 tailback/reisekamera with restricted movements.

Well Stephen, you have a far more desirable set of problems than I have-
I only have one lens that needs larger than the Arca 171 board-
but the new camera will be a larger format, and maybe there are larger lenses in my future...

Yes, movements are more restricted- maybe I need to make a field version too, with a smaller board and bellows-
