So... I'm thinking about starting to use my Polarizer again with my 4x5 (I've only ever used it with a TTL system) and I'm not sure how I should meter for it... Any suggestions? It's a B+W MRC filter... a really nice one... I read somewhere I should add 2.5 stops.. is that correct?

I have the same B+W filter. I just take the reading of my spotmeter through the filter ensuring there is no reflected light from the filter entering the spotmeter. The B+W polarizer typically adds about 1 2/3 to 2 stops of exposure to an unfiltered scene.

2.5 is the filter factor. That is about 1 and 2/3rd stops. If you want to lose less light the new Heliopan High Transmission Circular SH-PMC Pol has a filter factor of 2x (one stop light loss).
