hurray, my new (to me) Ebony RSW45 arrived in the mail today, what a beauty! My D3 seems clunky and inelegant next to it. About lensboards, however. Are there any issues with using other lensboards than Ebony branded? They are Linhof sized boards, right? And do I need the ones with the slightly lower drilling as opposed to boards with center drilling? I think I need the ones with the lower drilling, but I am not quite sure if all Ebony cameras use the same lensboards.

Yes - they're the standard Linhof-type. You can use the center-drilled boards but you'll be forced to compensate with rear rise or front fall in order to center the image circle on your film. Ultimately, you'll be happier with the off-center boards.

Thanks Eric,
I'll get the off-center boards.

I've used both ebony and other brands. But as Eric said, you'll have to compensate for the non-ebony center cut boards.
