When I scan a 6x12 negative on my V750 (using film holder) it does not give me the option to scan the whole negative when I use the Epson scan software (I can't find my copy of Silverfast). It breaks it up. Is there a work around.

I have tried the film area guide option and that works, but does that not bring up the right higher res optic lens from this scanner? I get confused from reading about what brings up the higher res optic.

You have set the Epson software to automatically divide the scan into 6x4.5, 6x6 or 6x7 images. Turn that setting off and you can scan any size that you want.

what Joanna said, just drag a new marquee around your 6x16 negs after you delete current selections. You can also save this setting and others as well to streamline your workflow. I have multiple settings with Epson scan. ie- setting for 4x5, 6x6, 6x7 and Xpan negs etc at various resolutions and bit depths. Makes it much more efficient if you work in various formats.

OK thanks. I'll give that a try. I saw the settings for 6x4.5, 6x6, and 6x7. I assumed I had to pick one and didn't even know it could be turned off.

Thanks!
