I was considering a Nikon 200 m f9 lens for my 5x7 camera and was confused in th e fact that an older Nikon spec sheet says that it will cover 5x7 whereas the B& H website recommends a max format of 4x5. Anyone know if I could use this lens f or 5x7 with modest movements or should I go with the 210 w 5.6?
Thanks in advance.

Michael: I assume you mean the 200 f/8 M Nikkor... the booklet lists the image circle as 210mm at f/22 and indicates it covers 5x7. Seems a bit small for 5x7 to me.

lens has adequate coverage for 4x5; 5x7 is questionable. J. Sexton has adopted it as one of hius lenses due to its 4x5 coverage and small size. But Sexton rarely uses 5x7! B,, Moulton
