Is the only difference between a typical 6x6 square board and a rounded corner board (Calumet / Deardorff) the corners? I'd like to modify a board (which has a flange mounted already) rather than get a new lens board, get a hole cut and mount the flange in question. On the other hand, if the modifications are more difficult than "file the corners until it fits" I won't bother.

Got a sanding block? Have at it. 20 minutes later you will have a RC board. sand a little at a time....

Take a moment before sanding to confirm the rebate on the back of the board will fit the intended camera. Deardorffs have narrow rebates, so boards with wider ones fit fine, but the reverse is not always true. Also, the thickness of the full-width part of the board is important. Rebates are not standard.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I figured.

My error for not considering the rebate. Deardorffs were for the most part the same from 1932 to 38 when RC boards were introduced and you could just sand one to shape. When in doubt Check.
