Hi Michael,

I'm assuming you're planning on using this for work at INFINITY?

Most of the posted "max" coverage ratings are at 1:1 or more. Infinity can sometimes be very different in terms of usable image circle.

What size camera are we talking here? 11x14, 10x12, 8x20, 16x20, 20x24, bigger?

Hi Daniel,

I don't have the ulf camera yet (only an 8x10) so I am looking at possible lens coverage to help me decide the format.

Primarliy I want shoot portraits in a studio setting and want to know if either of these two lenses would be suitable say up to 16x20 and maybe 20x24 at portrait distances. Cheers Michael.

"Portrait distance" with these film formats is really quite close to 1:1, so infinity coverage isn't needed!

The Busch Aplanat should do well, even on 20x24". So should the others, but I don't know those as well as the Aplanat.
