Hi lads
I'm going on my honeymoon this summer:
San Francisco, up and down Highway 1, a week on Kauai and then a stop in Chicago for my best friend's wedding... Yes, I sure look forward to this summer :)

Can any of you tell me a good and reasonably priced photo supplier in downtown San Francisco where I can find a good selection of 120 film for my new Fuji GA645? Portra 400 and T-Max 400 would be my preferred choices...

I would like to have most of my film developed in Chicago before I head home. Who's good and where're they at?

thanks,
lars

Photographers Supply -- I recently bought some 120 TMax100 at a good price there.

And nearby -- Calumet

And then there is Gassers

Call or email before you show up to make sure they have what you want

There is also the new place inside a record store in the Haight-Ashbury area. Forgot the name.

There is a new place in the Haight district SF. He seems to stock that sort of stuff. You might want to email him to make sure of inventory when you plan on being there:

For processing in Chicago:

CSW Film Systems (http://www.cswfilmsystems.com/) is about 3 miles west of the Chicago Loop, just north of Lake street on Damen Avenue. I have not used them but I have heard very good things about them. I would call to make sure they offer the services and timing you need.

There is also Helix Color Service (http://www.helixcamera.com/Color_Service/Film_Processing.html) which is an arm of the Helix Photo operation. Used to be good but I haven't used them recently. Located in the same general area as CSW.

There used to be a lot of processing options here in town but not any more.....

There's no lab that I know of within walking distance of the center of town (the Loop).

They do mail order and walk-in business.

Phoenix Imaging does all my color film processing—they'll be able to do whatever you need.

There's also a lab off Folsom street, near 7th (name escapes me now). But they sell film and also have two E6 runs a day.
