last weekend i collected my new 20x20" wet plate camera Adrew Donchev and his father build.
This thing is big and heavy but beautifully build !!

Is it to be used in a studio setting only, or will you be able to take it outside at all?

Last week i made my first testplate. Wasn't cleaned enough so the result wasn't so good.
But the camera works just great.

Yes it can be taken outside, but it is big and heavy.....

That is a beautiful and awesome camera! I ordered an 8x10 wet plate camera from Steve at Black Art Woodcraft and CAN'T WAIT to get it.

Wow—what a beauty!

Just think about the connection with the past . . .William Henry Jackson took cameras into the wikderness with mules—and did he wet plate process in the mountains.

Brady's photographers took them into the battlefields of the Civil War and did the wet plate proces.
