Just before anyone asks about 280649390369 - a TTH Cooke Telar - listed by an often discussed personage!
It is a variety of the Busch bis-Telar which the American TT&H organisation imported and labeled to fill a perceived hole in the TT&H range. I believe it was used on Graflex cameras.

that seller is a crook IMO. rude as well. he has been an e bay member for 2 years or so and has 3000+ feed back.....not sure how he does it. he buys all kinds of crap. he sells junk. forum members here have shown it in the past.

just for fun e mail him with a suggestion or info....i bet he responds very rudely. try it. tell him it is not a TTH....see how he responds.

stay away from him.....

That (280649390369) is nothing. Nothing. 270720196003 is much more outrageous. Vari-focal lens for a copier ...

And using an auction to basically just be an ad is against Ebay rules: 270684913656
And keyword spamming is against Ebay rules....
And....I could go on and on.
The seller has done all this for years...Ebay doesn't give a rip cause they make their money off of him.

How does he get anyone to bid on anything???? 98% of the lenses he is selling are old movie camera gear that you can't hardly give away these days. The tiny amount of large format gear that he has seems to be priced at least 5 times what it should be!

I do have the Busch version of this and it is a fine portrait lens for 5x7. $999 is a bit over the top in any market though.

But he now has a real SF Cooke listed.
But note:

"Seller refurbished: An item that has been restored to working order by the eBay seller or a third party not approved by the manufacturer. This means the item has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to full working order and is in excellent condition."

Well, if you have any old movie camera gear you'd like to give away be sure to let me know! :D They're still looked after, though the crowd is more niche. Things have also livened up (Longer focal lengths (25 and up)) among the micro 4/3rds digital people, since the short FFD allows such lenses to be used.
