when developing 4x10 film in a JOBO 3005 expert drum does the drum need any modification? if the sheet is inserted along its 10" length what holds the film in place?

Sorry for the double post

But which one do I reply to? ;)

I process 4x10 sheets in a 3004 (same as a 3005 just one less hole) and haven't found it needs any modication. The developing holes/tubes in the tank have a diameter smaller than 4", so you curve the sheet of film slightly to slide it in, and then I guess the natural rigidity of the sheet holds it back against the curve of the tube.

The sheet of film doesnt rattle around within the tube or become loose during development. Anything smaller than 4" might though... and I've never tried 2 sheets of 4x10 in each tube.....

Hope that helps...

How about modifying a 2509 reel?

I have developed hundreds of 4x10 sheets in Jobo 3005 drums. Not any different than 8x10 sheets except 4x10 only uses half the space.
