I have been searching for the thread where a home made "shutter" was made by Jim Galli..

Just can't find it.. (must learn to search better)...

However, I have this georgeus old Cooke Series IIa 250mm F 3.5 lens.

Fitted on a nice old wodden camera..

But no shutter. :o

by chance I then noticed, that the lid of a normal Patterson tank system fits like a glove!!! :D
Almost like it was made to do it..

So now I can make my pictures with this "shutter" ("lens cap") system.

Works fine.

Now I have to see, whether this also fits my other Cooke (14.5")

I use canning jar lids as my 'shutters'...
