Greetings:

I'm wondering if anyone is using the Rollei version of Technical Pan, ATP.

I still have a couple hundred sheet of TP 4x5-inch and I like to shoot it with a red filter because of its extended range in the red region.

So I just bought a half dozen rolls of the Rollei version in 120 to see how it compares.

Anyone currently using the Rollei have any comments? If so I would like to hear.

P.S. This one attached on TP with a red-25.

Do you know if this film is available in sheets? Freestyle carries roll film, but not sheets. (According to DigitalTruth.com articles, the Rollie developer gives the best results.)

Brian:

I bought the 120 size from Digital Truth where I've been getting my Efke and Adox sheet film lately.

But I don't see any 4x5 sheets listed. So I don't really know if it's available in sheet sizes.

If it turns out to be a good substitute for the Kodak TP will be too bad if it's not offered in 4x5.

B&H does not show any Rollei products under sheet film.

I didn't check other sites.

Well, I've been using Fuji Acros 100 as my Techpan substitute. No special developer required, and the grain looks to be between Tmax and Techpan. Much better than Tmax, but not as fine as Techpan.

Good luck with the Rollei film!
