Yanking the front standard off a Technika IV

So I am cleaning and redoing this Linhof Technika IV and I can't get the front standard off the focusing track. Short of banging on it, is there some trick?

I have it extended to the end and am squeezing the tabs as usual, it should just slide off the rails but it won't....

Can you drop the bed and slide it off the back?

Put it back on the tracks in the body, extend the focus track and then pull the front standard off the tracks in the body.
