Hi just joined and posted a message in the introduction section I have just been brought a sinar Norma by my wife got a few problems as I mentioned in my introduction text so won't repeat them here.
What I want to ask here is for some info on the lenses that came with the Norma
First one is a F Deckel 120mm computer shutter
Second one is a schineder compur rapid 180mm
Are these ok for my 5x4 Norma and will they do as lens for portraits
Thank you
Al

The 180mm will be a good length for portraits on 4x5. The 120mm is a slightly wide angle.

The best way to know if the lenses are good is to use them.

For large format cameras, the lens and the shutter are often made by different companies. For example Schneider made the 180mm lens and it is set in a Compur rapid shutter.
