Just finished a lovely two week trip. It occurs to me that Zanzibar is one of the most exotic places I have seen in 40 years of looking for exotic places. I ran into a dutchman named Hans Agterdenbos, who sold his assets in Europe, and moved to Zanzibar. He is trying to put a photographic meeting/instructional site together in Stonetown. One interesting little comedy happened on the beach with one of the bull driven carts. The driver was trying to keep the critter's tail down as his was sitting immediately in the line of fire about 2 feet from the wrong end-while riding the cart. The bull was protesting, and not moving. The answer? The fella immediately grabbed the family privates, and after a fairly hearty squeeze they were again on their way. Sorry to bore with this story, but it was amusing to watch.
