Hopefully this is the correct place to put this...

I just wanted to offer an open invitation to anyone who would be interested in checking out my 2010 images. All of the work is formal/traditional landscapes in B&W. If that's not your thing, it probably wouldn't be worth it. There's two versions of the PDF, I'm linking the smaller version, but if you enjoy that and want to zoom in on the images further, go ahead and download the high-res version off my website (that version is also 16bit, so the tones are cleaner). Both downloads are free and require Acrobat 7. It's designed to be viewed full screen on a calibrated monitor.

Here's a few sample images so you can gauge your interest...a sincere thank you to anyone who is willing to take a look!

Joel,

I was moved by more than a few of your pictures (Frozen Bubbles, Spring Fog, Beaver River, Clouds, Sunlight, Lake Superior, Frost Covered Rasberry Leaves, Cloudbreak, Silver Bay...). They are all really beautiful. I also enjoyed the writing on your website-it seems as if I've discovered another kindred soul on the LF Photography Forum!

In all, you've inspired me to get out of this damn office as soon as possible and go back into the wild where I belong. Thank you for that.

Beautiful images, very nice.

When I was a young pup I lived in Duluth, where are these shot in relationship to Duluth.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look and comment - much appreciated.

Bob, All of the images were taken along the stretch of Lake Superior between Two Harbors and Grand Portage. So basically, between Duluth and the Canadian Border.

Joel, this is another fantastic collection. You have a keen eye and this collection has more examples of that.

You are also very generous with your work to share it in the ebook format like you do.

Thanks for sharing and kudos on the work!!

Nice work Joel, very nice presentation. Did you perhaps use some of Brooks Jensons tips for making PDFs?

Thanks,

Joel, when did you sneak this in here? ;-) Wonderful imagery and portfolio. What may get lost - at least for those who didn't read the intro... is that this is the result of dedicating 2010 to b&w photography and this portfolio is the result. Congrats!

No, I'm not familiar with how he actually makes his, though I've certainly viewed a number of his PDF's. So inspired by Brooks would probably be the most accurate description.

Thank you Joel for sharing this wonderful PDF. Nana Sousa Dias, You and Michael Gordon are actually the main reason I didn't try a single color sheet since the day I bought my field camera in October 2010.
Thanks for the inspiration.
