I have a 4x5 wista fresnel in a cambo spring back that focuses at the exact same place as the original GG. Should this have a GG in front of it or is it meant to be the screen?

I have a Wista RF that uses a fresnel/gg combination, you might have the same thing.
Over top of that (to the photographer's side) goes a clear gridded glass.
