This year while I was doing a bit of consulting for one of the US largest tech companies, the topic of what would bring the most immersive experience came up. I argued that higher resolution would beat 3D.

I couldn't agree more! As someone who has seen a 4k projector, I would argue that higher resolutions are definitely more impressive than 3d.
