Just acquired an 180mm 5.6 fujinon w (on outside of lens ring). I had believed that these lenses used a 67mm filter but lo, his lens requires a 62mm filter. I can find no citation to any 180mm lens with a 62mm filter. What gives here? This is the next to latest model with a chrome aperture ring.

I have one with a 62mm filter ring as well. Maybe they're special lenses :)

#3 rises from the unknown depths.
Maybe it's a herd.

Not a big deal actually, it's just that mysteries like this bug me. It's good to know that I'm not alone. The lens is otherwise very good, so I'll just get a step up filter adapter.

Richard,

Check the specs for your 180 here: http://www.thalmann.com/largeformat/ws-nws.htm

Just an older version but it does have the EBC coating.
