And this was the only good frame on this roll due to another weird problem. The other roll in the tank, however, had no problems.

Thanks, Peter. Yeah, the format is fun to shoot. I burn through a lot more rolls of film per year since I picked up that GX617. Which is good for the film manufactures I suppose.

Trying out Rollei Retro 80S in the fog. This roll was developed in the same tank as another roll of 80S and it developed fine. This roll, however, has some weird black patches. At a magnified view, I really never see much in the way of a grain structure but rather a jigsaw pattern of black patches. This film has been hit-and-miss for me.

All very nice Ektar is an amazing color negative film. I love looking at Fujichrome too. I've got a bunch of 120 and enough E6 and C41 chemistry to get by for a couple years. The Fuji cameras are so damn fun. All I have is the G617, but it does a great job.

A great panorama Giovanni, it has a fantastic lighting atmosphere and therefore very beautiful colors!
The Ektar does a good job here. I prefer the Pro160NS because you can control the colors in a more diverse way.

Thank you Sebastian! Indeed 160NS was my favorite also, impossible to find in EU anymore though. Where do you get yours?

Fortunately, I still have over 60 rolls in the freezer, I had amazon.jp send them to me in Germany. I believe yodobashi in Tokyo also ship worldwide. It's worth a try!
I've also found that the 160ns is much easier to scan, at least on my Tango!

Also a new 6x17 panorama from me, not with the 160NS, but with another legend, the EPR 64.

"packing an axe" is no joke! Hundreds of the trees have been destroyed by people with axes, off-road vehicles, trucks, etc.

Thanks. I tried all I could to 'hide' the dead trunk, but no matter which angle I tried I lost the separation with the mountains. I guess that's why Photoshop has the clone tool and content aware fill :)

Thank you very much. I'm pretty sure the previous poster was only joking about the axe, at least that's how I took it. With the exception of removing trash and other unnatural debris, I don't "harvest" the scene (or as some call it, "farming") to remove unwanted natural objects...it is what it is.

Saquaro National Park-West as sun was beginning to set. Took this while scouting locations shortly after arriving. I don't know about the image...I seem to remember it looking better on the ground glass at the time. Shen Hao 6x17, Nikkor 210 or 300 (can't remember), Portra 400. I really like the soft pastel colors of Portra 400 for SW desert images.

Awww! You mean I had my custom 6x17 carrier made for nothing?
Some time ago I alerted the LF community the B+H was selling Omega D-5 126 carriers for ten dollars each. I bought a few (7)to qualify for free shipping. They have since been cut out to 6x6, 6x9, 4x5 and a couple 120 film 6x17 and this one that allows a 4x5 sheet to be positioned to the 6x17 cut out window. The locating pins are out of the way but hold the top and bottom together. I don't have a 6x17 back but wanted to explore that format with my Fujinon 75mm 5.6. I know the easel blades also work.
My friend Bob has a machine shop in his basement. Not a photo buff, but has rebuilt my Packard shutter and a friend's, cut threaded lens mounting rings and more stuff.216741

I used to see places like this all the time but they are mostly torn down now and replaced by strip malls. I thought I would photograph this place while it still exists. Taken with my V-Pan and a Schneider 75mm lens with HP5+ developed in Caffenol.

BUT. No need to upload a 12541x4016 pixels, 20 megabytes image, to be displayed on viewer's screen at maybe 1000x350. Just increases the page load time.

stumbled into this thread, which prompted me to post a few of my panos. my g617 is feeling left out as I have been shooting a lot less, but skimming thru every page of this thread has motivated me to get out and shoot a few panos. sometimes its tough to find a scene that can be shot in 6x17, but sometimes its the perfect fit for the scene. anyway........
