I have been messing around with a De Vere 504 DS digital enlarger which uses a Mullersohn LCD module to make a "virtual negative" for printing onto conventional darkroom papers. I believe that Durst Pro supply the same system in the USA, using the L1200 chassis. Unfortunately I have no training on this apparatus and no handbook for the software.

Does anyone have any experience of the Mullersohn software? The two programs installed on the PC are:

Mullersohn MFT Digilab Controller Turbo v9.5
Mullersohn Digilab Exposer v10.3

I can load and edit images and use the focus switch to compose on the baseboard, but can't work out how to actually MAKE the exposure (eg set times, etc). I'm sure there's something simple I'm missing! I'll get in touch with Mullersohn but often "real world" experience is just the job.

Anybody out there ever used such a thing?

Here's hoping!

I wanted to purchase one of these units years ago, but purchased a Durst Lambda to print onto fibre paper, I am not aware of a Durst Enlarger model , which is interesting.
Have you tried KHB in Mississauga or Odessey Sales in the UK as they were/are distributers of the deveere unit.
I would be interested in your progress and thoughts on this unit.

Bit of digging on the intenet shows that indeed there is a unit that retrofits onto a durst enlarger.

Lambdas print at 400ppi across the size gamut, this unit seems to drop its ppi as the print gets larger, I wonder where the visual break point is .
good luck with your unit and post your thoughts, I am definatly interested in hearing about success with this enlarger.

Did you buy this software unit used, or new?

By chance (and 10 seconds on Google), have you looked at: http://www.jensen-optical.us/no_negative.htm which describes the operation of the system in a rather quick fashion?

Thanks Erie, I can do everything on that list except get the timed exposure going! I'll make some calls this week.
