According to 'The Linhof Camera Story'the most recent 5X7 Technika was the Super Technika V 13x18cm/5x7", with coupled rangefinder, made from 1964 to 1986.

No.

The Master Technika and Master Technika were/are only made in 4x5.

The Super Technika V was discontinued in the 4x5 size in the 1970's, in 5x7 size in 1986. No replacement for the 57 Technika has been made since its demise.

It could more easily be a black III.

Get the serial number not a seller's description.

If you can see a picture, look for the front rise mechanism on the right of the camera as you face it. If it is a little "pump handle" racheting front rise lever, it is a V. I find this the easiest visual cue to distinguish a V from earlier models. There is a Tech V 5X7 for sale on Ebay now where you can easily see this.

Yes. The 5x7 Tech V Exists. I have one, including a 4x5 reducing back, in near mint condition. They're without peer for SOLID 5x7 field work. Heavy and worth it.

Godday contribusers - I'm a newcommer to this forum, in which I have gathered much information over a couple of years. Well, the above posts made me decide, now is the time to join in.
Question on production year of Technika 5x7": The only number I can find on my pre-V speciman is in the assessory shoe, writing 39452. Would this be the production number, and does it indicate the production year?
Also, on the back swing frame it reads D.B.P. and A.P.a.? Are these related to type, production "batch" or the like??
Will be gratefull of any hints or help, thank you.
Have now sampled the camera, a 7 kg tripod, a room in the cellar with a Durst 139, and so eager to get started in this format - fresh air, beutifull greytones -- and exercise.

39452 is a Technika III from about 1955.

A.B.P. is the German Patent Office. A.P. a. are also business abbreviations.

If it is a 4x5 then any 45 with a Graflock back (international back) accepts the Linhof Techno Rollex 6x12 back.
