Pheww..it's a matter of personal taste offcourse, but man what an ugly camera..;-).. for that price it should look good too..;-).. And that nice "tilt bar" at the back sticking in your you know what..

A camera of clever relatively modern construction intelligently using elements of monorail view cameras. Weight was not spared to get the necessary rigidity and the capacity to support heavy lenses. When compared to the Lotus camera of the same class (also a good construction) this camera rocks. The price is surprisingly fair too especially considering the fact that a dedicated tripod is included.

"The camera, lens and tripod probably weighs over 100 lbs."

I wonder what the actual weight of the cameras is. I believe the 8x10 de Golden Busch weighed about 24 lbs., or nearly 2x an 8x10 Deardorff (which isn't exactly an ultralight camera).

Still, $11,000 for camera, lens, tripod and 2 film holders is a reasonably affordable entry into the 20x24 format.

Add $11,000.00 per sheet for film and processing and pretty soon you're talking real dollars here.

Glazers has 20x24 FP4+ in stock at $604 for a 25 sheet box. That's only about $24/sheet.
