Old Beseler Dichro DG 4x5 Color Heads

Are the old Beseler Dichro DG 4x5 Color heads any good? I'm referring to the ol d bluc color heads that had the blower, the hose, power supplier, and the voltag e regulator. Let's assume that the condition is good. Even at their best, did they work well?

The one I had when I had a Beseler worked fine. Very bright, good evenness. You do have to have the blower; there's a lot of heat generated.

I picked up one and had to take it apart and repair it as the previous owner was not quite the technician he should have been. The wires in back were burnt (and rerouted) but the repair was pretty easy and I did get to clean the colored filters and remove dust out of the cabinet. Watch for seals around the back door that may need replacement. The blower as mentioned is needed. Otherwise how can you kill it? I think the filters are permanent.
