I have looked to see if GOERZ ANASTIGMAT DAGOR 150mm 1:6,8 will cover 5x7 with moovement, I cannot find any real info, that tells me it will, does anyone know if it will cover 5x7 with moovement?

Thanks
David

Have a look at http://photo.net/large-format-photography-forum/005Bny

From the chart here your dagor will cover when stopped down to f/16 and by f/45 will cover whole plate: so when stopped down past f/16 you will get movement

You'll find the Goerz catalog here: http://www.cameraeccentric.com/html/info/goerz_1.html

There are other ones of different vintage available on that site as well. I have Dagors in 125, 210 & 240mm. I find the given coverage figures to be accurate.

I have one of these little beauties which I use on the 5x7 for probably 60% of the images made with this camera. f-22 and fire!

Dan, Dagors' coverage has been the subject of some controversy. See, please, this dusty old thread: http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=13109&highlight=lousy+dagor

Most of the older Dagor's cover 82 degrees stopped down. Get a piece of graph paper and draw it out.

An entertaining thread, with plenty of controversy, but not much issue on coverage. I noted only that it was posted that the lens didn't cover 8x10 at f32, where the catalog was claiming 8x10 coverage at f45. To clarify my own experience, stopping down the lens to f16-f32 (which is where I typically use my lenses) yields the coverage predicted by the catalog for f16.
