I came to the idea of emulating master Sugimoto last night during a movie in my local movie theater.
I believe his "Movie Theater Series" are done in a long exposure while the film is projected (the whole length of the film).
Has anyone tried this or have any idea on where to start concerning exposure?

Say the film is 100-120 minutes long and I shoot at f64 on 100ASA film, would I need ND filters? A lower ASA?
Clearly the screen would be all blown out white, I am interested in having a good exposure in the seats and theater interior.
Thanks!

Hi

I did a 29 Min Celloconcerto with a 100 ASA Film at f 64 and a 3 f stops grey ND filter!
Just have a look here: http://grossformatfotografie.de/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=2

I can't see the images, I need to register. Can you link a couple images? 29min+3stop... wow.

Nevermind, I registered. Cool series btw. Thanks!
