Does anyone know what is the image circle of this lens? I found somewhere on this site that it is spec at 370mm?? if that's the case, this lens has a huge image circle! but I heard from someone from this site that it barely covers 8x10 and it has no movement...

Can someone please clarify, I am looking for architectural lens.

I found this post - perhaps it helps:

I have a catalog that shows 5 [Perigon] sizes were available:

9 cm, 11 cm, 13 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm

Respective coverages at small stops are listed as:

13x18, 16x21, 18x24, 21x27, 24x30 (in cm's)

The lens is advertised as having 110 degree coverage. It has 4 elements in 2 cemented pairs. I believe Rodenstock used Lanthanum glass for these lenses. They are single coated.

As for coverage, I find the 13cm tight on 8x10. I don't have a 14cm protar V to compare it to. The 15cm may be a better fit for 8x10 if you want some movement.

Keep us posted on your testing of this lens."

It covers 8x10 with some (not allot) movement. It is sharp. Similar design to an F18 Protar with a large aperture (12.5) and it is coated. Fits a copal 0. All in all, a great field lens.

There's obviously more than one design of the 130mm f12 Perigon, mine does not cover 8x10 and is not coated.
The only way i can use it on 8x10 is by focusing closer than infinity (3 - 5m) and then there's absolutely no movements.
The lens is tack sharp in the center but mushy in the corners.
Nice little lens but not ideal for architectural photography on 8x10

My lens is fine for landscape work. Light and small. I ran out of coverage shooting inside a building. Stopped down it is sharp but I only contact print on 8x10. A better choice for architectural work would be a 150mm Nikon SW or a 165mm Super Angulon.

The Nikon 120SW f8 with a 312mm IC covers far better than the Perigon in real life, i have when focused at closer distance used up to 20mm of front rise without darkened corners.
The 150 SSXL although expensive is a very nice lens for Architectural work.
