I've got a business trip coming up and a down day where I can photograph for a day with a friend in Pennsylvania. (Maybe that makes it an UP day)
If I send loaded 5X7 holders to him in advance by UPS are they going to get X-Rayed?
quite unlikely; I get all by film shipped to me by UPS & Fedex.

I've shipped loaded holders several times via FedEx and UPS, never a problem.

Freestyle Photo always ships things to me Fedex, and I nothing has been xray'd yet.

Thanks, makes sense.
I once asked a mail order house whether or not the film will be x-ray'd and whether it would be ok, and the reply was: "how do you think we get the film?"

I do this often. Loaded holders and boxes of fresh film outbound and then loaded holders and boxes of exposed film plus unused fresh film back to me. I've never had a problem. I've used UPS, USPS and FedEx. Makes for a lot less stress at the airport and allows me to have many more holders on location. Sometimes I ship the holders and have film shipped directly from the retailer to the place I am traveling to. My experience has only been domestic.
