The title says it all, just looking for palin white archival 4-ply, cut to 11x14 or I can cut it down myself. I can buy 32x40 sheets locally for $12 plus 10% tax. I need to get quite a bit, though, so any pointers towards a better deal would be appreciated!

you could try framingsupplies.com but you will most likely lose any savings to shipping costs. I highly recommend you call a local frame shop and ask if they can order some for you at cost. I have several in my small town that will do it. Worth a shot but their prices won't be much different than framingsupplies.com

A good deal on 4-ply, I wish there was one! :(

Consider 40x60, I think for your size you will get better yield.

If you have a resale certificate you can open an account with a local supply company such as Larson Juhl. They will probably need to ship to a comercial location though.

I have a studio and buy all my supplies this way. I help out a couple of artist friends and let them ship and pick up at my location. Maybe there is someone in your area that can do the same for you.

Best price on AlphaRag Artcare board I've seen yet (25 sheets 32x40 4 ply - $200.75)

Mark

Phone up your local frame shops, ask if you can jump on a order with them and see what happens, If you find a kind soul they will allow you to buy from them.
These shops usually get heavy discounts and may be interested in ordering the extra board you need when they place their orders.
best buy is 40x60 if you can handle the cutting in your location.

Thanks, all! I've been checking with local businesses, but in this economy, no one wants to cut much of a deal on "special order" items, and I can hardly blame them. I've pretty well scoured the internet too. Tony's suggestion of framingsupplies.com may work out; if not, I'll stay with the local shop that has museum board for $12 a sheet. Thanks again, everyone!

Conservationresources is the best deal I've found but fedex destroyed the first two shipments I got. Check all corners before accepting the box.
