hi friends!

i need a 75mm for my sinar P.
do you think it's better a lens with its own shutter (copal-compur-prontor)
or a lens DB mount (with sinar-copal shutter)?
i have some sinar shutters therefore it's not a problem.
but i think the rear+front+shutter thickness 'll limit camera movements
(tilt and swing).
at present i use a gradagon 65 4.5 with compur 0 on recessed lensboard, and a 90 4.5 with compur on standard lensboard.

thanks in advance.

I don't think you'd have a problem with the Sinar shutter if you use the Wide Angle Bellows II. But I think doing so will definitely limit movements. My choice would be to use a lens in a shutter.

Also, with the WA Bellows II, you might not need that 65 on a recessed board. I am able to get some movements with a 47mm lens on a flat lensboard using those bellows. The standard bag bellows worked, but required a lot of attention to prevent pinching them between the standards. The WA Bellows II don't present that problem at all.

hi Rick,

thanks for your reply.
I can understand your hate for recessed board...

working with:
65-compur + recessed lensboard + WA bellows II
and 90-compur + standard lensboard + WA bellows
i have no problem.

outdoor i frankly prefer lens shuttered.
i have found a grandagon 75 4.5 DB new (a real bargain!)
but i want to know if there are problems with sinar shutter I use only with long focus.

thanks again.
