Hi all,
where do you get mat boards in Ontario?
also, for the backing board, the 2-ply board or the foam core board? any reason?
Cheers

Thanks Walter!
usually buy clear bags from them. looks like they (only) offer per-windowed mat boards though. will call them later today.
now back to the other question, 2-ply mat board/ foam core board, which is more common as backing material? reason?
Cheers
Andrew

I'm assuming that you are hinging the print and not laminating it. If the two ply board is structural enough and it's archival go for it. If you need more structure and also the thickness of the Foam Core and it's archival, go for it. For me it's a matter of how stiff the backer board has to be.
If you are laminating the print, I don't know anyone who laminates onto foam core. Foam core dents to easily. You can laminate onto mat board, Sintra or plexi.

Hey Andrew!
Nice work, BTW! Best place (if you are in Toronto) is Woolfit's on Queen. Also, both Curry's and DeSerres carry archival mat board.
