I am for anything that brings Polaroid back into the mainstream!

Having a famous, successful, high profile artist and fashion icon representing Polaroid is wrong on so many fonts. We need to petition Polaroid to replace her with some bearded, white haired guy stuck in the 1950's, because that's what truly represents the image Polaroid needs to succeed in today's market. :p

Will be interesting to see what happens next ... as I understand they only sold the machinery to the impossible project but did not sell nor license their formulae to them, impossible's mission being to figure something out, hence the teething troubles!

If my understanding is right, they (polaroid) obviously see value in the formulae. I want those pola negatives!

I wonder how Polaroid could afford to hire Lady GaGa -- or did she just buy the company?

The 20x24 Studio seems to be manufacturing their own reagent... and it's really good. I wonder if they will collaborate with The Impossible Project by proving reagent for TIP's 8x10 machine...

In a related note, I'm going to photograph Lady Gaga tonight. Not with the 20x24, though... not sure the paper would approve that one!

Read the bottom of the article. The owners of Polaroid are the liquidators like Gordon Brothers. Not Impossible Image.

Wow, eloquently put, Ugg boot spam bot.

If it's only the machines they sold, then how is the 20x24 project functioning? They're not owned by the holding company that owns the Polaroid brand name. If they're able to manufacture chemistry without fear of patent repercussions, why wouldn't The Impossible Project?

Read about 20x24 at the source:

Both New York and San Francisco have film, and are open for business.

The 20x25 project is making their own pods, and the Impossible Project is making film for pretty much everything except 4x5.
