Hello all

This is my very first post here so bare with me on this one.
Does anyone have any first-hand experience with a Rodagon-G 105mm f5,6 lens?
What I'd like to know is if it will cover a good part of a 4x5 frame, say a 3 7/8" square,
without an appreciable loss of sharpness and/or light fall-off?

Thanks

The 105mm G was made for mural size printing from 6x9cm (so a 9cm circle 3.54") at magnifications of 10 to 40x the size of the negative. At those sizes this is a surpurlative performing optic (assuming a glass carrier and a critically aligned enlarger) At smaller ratios it will be a poor performer compared to an Apo Rodagon-N, Rodagon or Rodagon-WA. It is not capable of making small size prints.
