Tachihara case

Hello! I’m new here. I recently went back to my roots 1974 and my first camera ever, a tachihara 4x5. I got a new one and a couple lenses. 12 film holders etc..

I am looking for a case to carry this stuff in. I have looked for days and can’t find anything really ergonomic for an old fart.

Anyone have some links to a bag that would carry the above mentioned gear, preferably not a backpack.

Badger Graphic does sell a small aluminum case with padding sized for the Tachihara. Costs about $30 if I remember when I bought mine. Its a nice little case, but in the field I use a photobackpacker case for the camera which takes up less room and keeps the camera safe. I suppose it just depends on what you want to carry and where you want to carry it.

It seems to me the easiest way to carry a bag is on your back so if your age keeps you from a backpack .. are you truly "carrying" this wanted bag

maybe you want something else to carry the bag
Maybe you should just sling tripod and camera with lens over the shoulder with small bag for holders and such

I also use the photobackpacker case for my Tach. That, along with a 3 lens photobackpacker case, five holders, a filter folder and my meter fit perfectly in a Billingham-style bag that GAP currently sells for 15 bucks. The set-up is light, doesn't scream "steal me" and is easy to work out of. For longer treks, I use a backpack, but it's rare that I need to.
