I am planning to do some negatives using a 7600 UC Epson printer to start making carbon prints. Looks like everybody agrees that the material is Pictorico film. Is there any other option? Could you use regular clear acetate film, or similar? Thanks.:)

Inkpress makes a very similar product. It's about the same price in smaller sizes, but cheaper in the larger sizes. I've had good results with both brands.

Kerik,

Thanks for the input. I looked at B&H, and they have three varieties: Transparency Film, Backlight Film, and Clear Film? Which one have you used?

Also, is there a better source than B&H? I like B&H, but I'm open to places that might be less expensive.

I have used Pictorico OHP to make digital negatives for Carbon transfer printing (Epson R2400 and 3800 with QTR). I used a transparent/clear version, not the opaque, I think that is suitable for silver contact prints.

But if it is "transparent" or "clear" I donīt remember. The equipment is in boxes after my workshop got flooded...
