View Full Version : Cheap 4x5 lens source?
A while back, I came across cheap (like $40) lenses with flanges. The had plastic elements. I think it was at surplus shed, but they no longer have them. So, is there a cheap lens that will cover 4x5 or a bit smaller that can be bought regularly? I am asking because a customer is wanting something economic for a stereo camera. And knowing a source would be great for me as well for future projects.

Do as I do. Watch the auction thingie with much dilligence. They're out there. All you have to do is watch closely and be patient.
Apo-Gerogon 150/9 lenses are usually very cheap.

You can often pick up Ektar or Optar 135mm's and 127mm's on eBay for practically nothing, and the 150mm versions for not much more.
You can pick up Tessars on Ebay for cheaper than even Ektars or Optars usually.
