color profiles

Not sure if I'm in the right thread but am printing to canvas using an Epson 10600 and photoshop 7, I have a pc with windows 2000 and prints perfect colours, have tried using my laptop with vista and the same settings in epson print but the colours are coming out wrong, much too blue and grey, any ideas.
I can't stick with my windows 2000 pc as for some reason it won't print large 40" x 30" images some sort of driver problem ?

This could be a big topic to try to run down the cause of your problem. Just off the top to get started:
Are you using different profiles for each? I would assume the Epson driver you have installed on the Win 2000 system is a different driver than that for the Vista system? Both drivers might have similarly sounding "canvas" media settings, but might actually put ink on the page in different ways. It's also possible that you could be double-profiling somewhere.

Here's an article that contains a number of best practices concerning printing through Photoshop. Check out the section on Printing, and make sure you've got your profile in place in Photoshop, but that you have any use of profiles turned off in the driver.

You say that your Epson driver settings are the same, but have you checked that the Photoshop color settings are the same on your laptop as they are on the desktop? Specifically check to see if you have checked the box to "warn on profile mismatches" to let you know of any conversion differences for the working space.
Also see whether Black Point Compensation is the same for both machines and conversion "intent" is the same.

Vista is more advanced and should work fine.Use Photoshop CS4 or the latest version CS5,search on internet to get trial (e.g. this page (http://www.place77.com/adobe-photoshop-17319.html)).
